Social Events

The St. Elias Centre is an ideal venue for large or small gatherings - to celebrate a baptism, first communion, a graduation, an engagement, or simply to party with friends or family or to host a reception for visiting dignitaries.

Room and Floor Plan
From the size of your guest list, the manager suggests an appropriate configuration of the hall in the St. Elias Centre (one room or both rooms with suitable partitions to provide a space that is optimally sized for your gathering) or he may suggest use of the Cathedral hall. He will also generate a floor plan.

Food and Beverage Selection
There are many food and beverage choices available as well as a choice of wine and bar service. Refer to the Menu page for a description of menu items and packages available to you. The manager will assist you in navigating through those choices.

Services Provided by the St. Elias Centre
The St. Elias Centre sets up and dresses the tables in accordance with your instructions, prepares the food and serves the food and beverages. It provides a podium and public address system if required.

Bar and Wine Service
The St. Elias Centre provides bar and wine service. For bar service, there are three choices:
1. Cash bar
2. A host bar by consumption as determined through an inventory count
3. A host bar where you pay a set fee per guest for up to four hours of unlimited    consumption.

External Service Providers
You contract separately with external suppliers for entertainment, additional audio visual equipment and decorations that may be required. The St. Elias Centre can recommend service providers upon request. Click on the "Partners" tab for information on a select group of service providers we recommend.
